मुंबई पुलिस की आर्थिक अपराध शाखा (EOW) ने बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस शिल्पा शेट्टी से 60 करोड़ रुपये की कथित धोखाधड़ी के मामले में करीब पांच घंटे तक पूछताछ की। इस मामले में उनके पति राज कुंद्रा समेत पांच लोगों के बयान पहले ही दर्ज किए जा चुके हैं। बताया जा रहा है कि यह पूछताछ व्यापारी दीपक कोठारी की शिकायत के बाद की गई, जिन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि शिल्पा और राज कुंद्रा ने 2015 से 2023 के बीच अपने व्यवसाय के विस्तार के नाम पर पैसे लिए, लेकिन उनका उपयोग निजी खर्चों में किया। कोठारी के अनुसार, 2015 में शिल्पा शेट्टी ने 75 करोड़ रुपये का ऋण मांगा था, जिसे बाद में निवेश के रूप में बदल दिया गया। उन्होंने अप्रैल 2015 में 31.95 करोड़ और सितंबर 2015 में 28.53 करोड़ रुपये ट्रांसफर किए। कई बार मांगने के बावजूद राशि वापस नहीं मिलने पर उन्होंने केस दर्ज कराया। EOW ने पहले ही इस मामले में लुकआउट सर्कुलर जारी किया था। शिल्पा शेट्टी और उनके वकील प्रशांत पाटिल ने आरोपों का खंडन करते हुए कहा कि वे जांच एजेंसियों के सामने पूरा सच पेश करेंगे। फिलहाल जांच जारी है और पुलिस ने आगे की कार्रवाई के संकेत दिए हैं।
